The calculators

The day rate, tax and MTD tools work in your browser. The figures you type are not sent to us or stored anywhere.

Tax reminders

If you sign up for reminders we keep your email address, the reminders and timing you chose, the page you signed up on, when you confirmed, and which version of the sign-up wording you agreed to. We use them only to send the reminders you asked for and to let you change or stop them.

Sign-ups you don't confirm are deleted after 7 days. If you unsubscribe, your details are deleted after 30 days. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of the address, as a record that you opted out.

Email me this

If you ask us to email you a calculator result, we use your address to send that one email. To stop the button being used to flood someone's inbox, we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of the address for two days, then delete it.

Limits on sign-ups

To stop the forms being used to send unwanted email, we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of the connecting IP address for up to two days.

Referral links

When you follow a referral link, we count the click against the page it came from. We don't record who you are.

Who handles your data

• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores reminder sign-ups, in line with its data processing terms.
• Resend sends our emails. It receives your address and the email we send.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies or tracking you across sites. The site sets no cookies.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. Every reminder email also has a one-click unsubscribe. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
